Black amazake is a sweet sake made using "black koji mold," which is typically used in the production of awamori (Okinawan sake).
It contains no sugar; the sweetness comes naturally from the fermentation of rice and koji.
The refreshing tartness, unlike anything before, is derived from natural citric acid produced by the black koji mold.
This sweet sake has a gently sweet flavor from the rice, complemented by a subtle acidity from the citric acid, resulting in a crisp, refreshing drink.
Amazake with a refreshing blend of blue-cut shikuwasa delivers a fruity taste. It's delicious whether chilled or warmed.
It’s also recommended to mix with soy milk in a 1:1 ratio.
