[ Lacquered Wooden Leaf Plate ]
A plate that uses the beautiful and varied colors of cedar wood grain, shaped like the veins of a leaf.
It is crafted by carving from thick boards of laminated wood that highlight straight wood grain.
The natural shape of the leaf is formed by hand while considering balance.

The soft texture of cedar is thoroughly soaked with lacquer, resulting in a durable finish.
The adhesive sections become harder than the wood upon curing, ensuring they won’t come apart during use.
It is resistant to both water and oil, and can handle hot items.
This is a lightweight and easy-to-hold, functional plate.

Each piece has its own unique expression with variations in grain width and color.
As you use it repeatedly, its flavor increases and it changes, which is one of the joys of ownership.

Starting in August 2023, a branded stamp of 'Sugi Wood Crafts' will be applied to the back.
