Popular Sengoku War Lord No. 1: Rokumonsen (Six Coins) Sanada Yukimura T-shirt!
The Sanada clan, known as one of the strongest families during the Sengoku period, faced the tragic fate of having to oppose the unifier Tokugawa Ieyasu. Their emblem, the Rokuren-sen, is said to symbolize the meaning of facing death without hesitation. He was a wielder of the legendary sword Muramasa, which Ieyasu feared. The "Sanada Jyuuyushi" refers to the 10 brave warriors who served Yukimura Sanada (including some figures whose existence is disputed). This can also refer to the title of a novel by Shibata Renzo, featuring these characters as protagonists.
The emblem, Rokuren-sen, symbolizes the idea of facing death without hesitation and represents the six coins traditionally placed in the coffin of the deceased for paying the ferryman to cross the Sanzu River. Using this emblem signifies a dedication to sacrifice one's life for the Buddhist law (fushakushinmyou).
Yukimura was celebrated as "the best warrior in Japan" and belonged to a clan that was arguably the strongest during the Sengoku period. He was, however, a tragic warrior, forced to confront the powerful Tokugawa Ieyasu in undeniably unfavorable circumstances. Yet, his unwavering commitment to the samurai spirit until the end draws many to him. When he charged at Ieyasu's main camp, he wielded the feared “Muramasa” sword, prompting Ieyasu to later issue the "Muramasa Prohibition Order," collecting and sealing all Muramasa swords across Japan.
This T-shirt is a must-have for those who love the Sengoku era!
